Carol Sharp ? - 2019 and on (There is no information on her from before her 20’s) Carol Sharp graduated from Brighton art college with a first-class degree in visual communication, she began her professional career as a photographer after than when she was about 22. Over about 25 years her work has been widely published but she is most recognized for “cleasea flower show” posters and two sets of royal mail stamps. One of the more admirable things she does with her work is that before she sends any photos to anyone to makes sure do get all angles of the plant with all sorts of different lightings and backgrounds. She’d also physically more around whatever she was photographing and if that weren't possible shed move in whichever way her body would let her so she could they perfect photo. She gets a lot of inspiration from Edward Weston and Paul Strand. She also enjoys playing around with lightings and shadows to help give the subject as much depth and interest as possible. She thinks more about planning the visuals that she does on the concepts. She also values mirrors to her advantage to help convey her concepts. I really enjoy taking pictures of plants and any kind of still life so I found her work very fascinating and I really enjoyed it and found it inspiring. I really like how her photos are extremely focused and have very clear vocal points.

Compare and Contrast where I live, they aren't identical but at the same time i'm supposed to but my own twist on it and it nature just kinda did that for meWhile I was attempting to take the flower picture it was a bit difficult because all the water had frozen or slushed over so when I saw this FROZEN wilted flower I had to take that unique opportunity. The last one was actually quite difficult to replicate because she had a grey background which I did not have access to do I used a mask to try and create that affect Personal Artist Statement In each one of my photos I made sure to be very precise and try and get it as close to Carols images at possible which was at times very difficult especially with the flower imagine that had a grey background because i had to not only buy new flowers but I had to put a mask on it as well to create a strong vocal point. While taking the photo of the frozen flower I had to crop out the horizon line which was a little bit tricky because i had to include a part of the flower stem to make it as similar to the original photo as possible. When i took the icy photo it was simply luck if I am being honest because I saw it on the ground by my home and took that opportunity to my advantage.
