Play Things (crystalize) I have a 2 year old sister who loves little plastic animals so they are all over the house, and that turned on a light in my head when I saw it. Since it is small and solid object I can make it look big or make the things around it look small, which are two very cool things about photography with small objects.
La Vie En Rose (color halftone) My mom actually bought roses for me when I told her i had to take pictures of objects, at first I was a little puzzled on how I was supposed to manipulate the rose and put it in different situations but after awhile...i got the hang of it.
pOkE (mosaic) This is a martini needle thing that you would put olives on but it has a cute little glass beads not just metal. I had actually stepped on it and that's why I am hamming it “pOkE” because that is how I described it to my mom “I stepped onto this pokey thing”
Quatre Années(pointillize)I played the Cello in my school orchestra for four years and it was one of the most fun and beautiful things I think I've done in my lifetime. The Bow is one of the most majestic things about playing the cello other than the wholesome and warm sound. The bow will almost float over the strings and when you do it correctly it is amazing. (the title means “Four Years” in French)
Divide (mezzotint) These photos were taken at the huron river while I was on the dock for morning practice. The pictures seem so calm and relaxed but 10 seconds after the photos were taken a boat came racing down the river at racing speed, that is why I named it “divide” because while at the dock two things have been split in half.
